Blumenfeld’s project in collaboration with NASA, Astromaterials 3D, shares the second public preview release of a lunar sample in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 12.

Blumenfeld is awarded a public art grant from the Houston Mayoral Office of Cultural Affairs and Art League Houston to create a community-embedded sculpture from her Sky Scrolls series, collecting people’s memories and stories of their experiences of the night sky.

Blumenfeld’s project in collaboration with NASA, Astromaterials 3D, shares the first public preview release with the public of the first lunar sample picked up on the Moon in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11.

Blumenfeld has been selected by the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation as an artist-in-residence for their 2018 Rauschenberg Residency (RR #29).
